All articles and research about GOD, on my web sites and this blog are about the ONE TRUE Father GOD, who is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

As are all my articles and research about Jesus, are under His covenant name of the begotten Son’s personal name of Yeshua.

It is not my purpose to force you to agree or believe with what's on my websites, but rather to share my research.
As the record goes. I'm Just a soul who's intentions are good. Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood. I am Simon Brown. Amen.

Is it true, biased scribes altered John 1:18, from: only begotten son, to only begotten God?

Is it true, biased scribes altered John 1:18, from: only begotten son, to only begotten God?
Is it true, biased scribes altered John 1:18, from: only begotten son, to only begotten God?

After my new research, I have since discovered: only begotten God? is the correct translation.
Click here to read: Jesus is more than A God. Because Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN God.

I wonder why the Trinitarian translators of the King James Bible use the verse in John 1:18, only begotten (Son) instead of: only begotten God?

John 1:18.

In John 1:18, the “orthodox” changed the text when they could Alexandria, Egypt is where this comes from.

Some believe In John 1:18, the “orthodox” changed the text when they could, Alexandria, Egypt is where this comes from.

It’s odd that the phrase: The only begotten God, is nowhere else in the whole Bible.

But instead we have verses with: The only begotten Son.

John 3:16.

Just as interesting to read that a certain number of the Church Fathers, such as Irenaeus, Clement and Tertullian, were quoting the verse in John 1:18, saying? “Son,” and NOT “God.”

But there remains a serious problem in that the phrase: The only begotten God, lines up perfectly with the Greek translation in John 1:1C.

Because St John tells us in the end of his amazing statement that: God (Jesus) was the word.

John 1:18.

John 1:1.

So could scholars be wrong and St John did mean and say:
The only begotten God, which is in line with: God was the word, and the scribe did translate this correctly?

I truly do not know the answer to this one, and will continue seeking and researching.

I also read an article saying:
The original language of John 1:18 is unknown. Even some of the church fathers disagreed as to its likely wording. For example:
Alexander (d. IV CE) in his Epistles on the Arian Heresy wrote the phrase "the only-begotten Son" (9, 49). Note: Alexander died during the time that codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus were written (see below).
Earlier, Clement of Alexandria (d. 210-219 CE) penned “The only-begotten God" (Stromata V-153). Even earlier, Ignatius (d. 107 CE) alluded that the text he used read “the only-begotten Son" (Epistle to the Philippians 12).

And in the article below we read: famous textual scholars, Westcott and Hort, known for their defense of the Alexandrian text type, consider John 1:18 to be one of the few places in the New Testament where it is not correct.

On the other hand, as I said in my last article, there are other verses where Jesus is referred to as “God,” which I find Trinitarians and Oneness Pentecostals love to point out to prove Jesus is GOD, instead of understanding others are called God or gods, including, angels, and even glorified members of the Church, and even Satan is referred to as the God of this world.

The quick facts.
The translation of John 1:1, is a perfect translation and is sadly  MISUNDERSTOOD by most.

Here is the massive confusion.
Most believe Jesus is THE GOD, because St John said: (and the word was God)

But instead, St John is telling us Jesus is God, because Jesus is the image of His GOD and has the exact nature as His GOD.

Jesus was the only begotten Son and person being BORN directly from His Father GOD, which makes Him God. But as He was BORN from His GOD, he obviously is not the same GOD He came from.

Which explains perfectly why Jesus said in John 17:3, His Father was the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD.

As we humans, were born from humans, that makes us humans, but we are not the same (person or being) as our human parents we came from in the beginning, but are often the image of our parents, and sons and daughters.

Just as Jesus was BORN from His Father GOD, who is the image of His Father GOD, which makes Him God, but Jesus is NOT that same GOD He was BORN from, nor is He the same being, but as He always taught, He is the literal Son of His GOD.

That’s why Jesus said to the disciple when they see Him they see the FATHER, because they are IDENTICAL.

Sadly for those who promote the false doctrine that Jesus is GOD, reveal with their own hands their bad fruits, because when they teach Jesus is THE GOD, they then contradict what they claim to believe that there is only one GOD, because in their other hand they are trying to prove Jesus is GOD which then =  TWO GODS, instead of ONE GOD, which completely contradicts their own faith and the word of GOD.

The Biblical fact is Jesus always taught He and His father were always two separate divine beings, who are NOT one GOD but ONE in complete agreement, harmony, and purpose, just as he desires to make all God’s children ONE substance.

The biblical fact is, Jesus always taught we are to believe He is the SON of His Father GOD, John 3:16, and His GOD is the only one true GOD which is eternal life, John 17:3, Mark 12:29, and when we believe Jesus simple teachings we see Jesus does not contradict His own teachings, just as we do not when we truly believe what Jesus taught, that He is the SON of the ONE TRUE GOD.

I will leave you with the research by Bible scholars below in hope to encourage you to do your own research.

I am Simon Brown.
May GOD almighty bless those who desire to know the truth of GOD and His one and only begotten SON, and be saved and set FREE. Amen.

Metzger gives the D rating, very unlikely to be right, to theos.
Almost certainly that was a push by “orthodoxy” to corrupt the text.
Jesus cannot be GOD of course since that would make two GODs and destroy the Bible!
