Proverbs 8:34-36 Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts. For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh. But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.” Psalm 84: 11 For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. 12 Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you. 1 John 5:5 Now who is the one overcoming the world, except the one believing that Jesus is the Son of God?

A comparison of the lives of Moses and Jesus reveals fifty elements common to both lives, many of which were beyond the ability of any human to control.

Thank you for joining me again.

The last two weeks we looked at some parts of Grant R. Jeffrey’s The Great Debate.

First we looked at fragments discovered within the Dead Sea Scrolls called: The “Messianic Apocalypse” which was virtually identical to Christian teachings outside the Bible about Jesus Christ as detailed in the Four Gospels.

Then we looked at another part of Grant R. Jeffrey’s book, as he revealed a 1 chance in 480 billion x 1 billion x 1 trillion that the Old Testament Prophets could have accurately predicted these 17 specific prophesies.

And now we will end with one more interesting part by Grant Jeffrey.
I pray you will continue to be encouraged. Simon Brown. Amen.

By Grant R. Jeffrey, The great debate.
A comparison of the lives of Moses and Jesus reveals fifty elements common to both lives, many of which were beyond the ability of any human to control.
Consider the unusual multiple roles that Moses and Jesus both played: prophet, priest, lawgiver, teacher, a leader of men.
Both taught new truths from God, and both confirmed their teaching with miracles
1) Both spent their early years in Egypt, supernaturally protected from the evil kings who sought their lives.
2) Moses family initially did not accept his role, but latter his brother Aaron and sister Miriam helped him.
Jesus brothers and sisters initially failed to follow Jesus, but latter James became the leader in the church in Jerusalem.
3) Each of them was considered the wisest man of his day both confronted demonic powers and successfully subdued them.
4) Moses appointed 70 rulers to rule Israel, Jesus anointed 70 disciples to teach the nations.
5) Moses sent 12 spies to explore Canaan,
Jesus sent 12 Apostles to reach the world with the Gospel.
6) Both fasted for 40 days and faced spiritual crises on mountain tops
7) Just as Moses stretched his hand over the Red Sea to command it to part to save The Israelites , so Jesus rebuked the Sea of Galilee and quieted the waves to save His disciples.
8) Both of their faces shone with the glory of heaven Moses on Mount Sinai and Jesus on the mount of Transfiguration.
9) While Moses rescued Israel from the dead religion of pagan Egypt, Jesus rescued Israel from the dead letter of tradition.
10) Moses and Jesus both cured lepers and proved their spiritual authority through miracles they performed before many witnesses.
11) Moses conquered Israel's great enemy the Amalekites with upraised arms
Jesus conquered our great enemies of sin and death by His upraised arms on the cross.
12) Moses lifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness to heal his people; Jesus was lifted up on the cross to heal all believers from their sin
13) Despite the spiritual leadership of Moses and Jesus the Jewish people were ungrateful to both me and rebelled against them.
14) Both generations that rebelled against the two men sent from God died due to their lack of faith.
15) One generation died in the wilderness of Sinai and the other died in the siege of Jerusalem in A.D.70
16) Moses promised that God would send his people another Prophet, Jesus promised His church that His Father would send another Comforter The Holy Spirit.
17) On the 14th day of Nisan that was the Feast of Passover, both freed all who would trust them.
18) On the 17th day, The Feasts of First fruits Moses brought about the resurrection of the children of Israel by taking them through the parted Red Sea, on the Feast of First fruits Jesus resurrected the resurrection of all believers by becoming the symbolical First Fruits of resurrection as He arose from the dead.
19) Fifty days after the Jews passed through the Red Sea on the Feast of Pentecost God gave Israel the gift of the Torah , the Law of God   50 days after Jesus resurrection  , on the Feast
Of Pentecost, God gave His Church the great gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The evidence is compelling that Jesus truly was the prophesied Messiah, the" Prophet like unto Moses
